Tensile TestingReinforcing Steel

 

Standard tests can be applied to reinforcing bar and coil, welded fabric, stainless reinforcing steels, welded joints and all related components. Non-standard tests such as bond tests are available on request.

 

Tensile testing

Tensile testing can be performed to a number of standards, including BS EN 10002-1, BS EN ISO 15630-1, BS 4449:1997/2005, BS 6744 and ASTM A370. Tensile testing capability up to 1200kN capacity, suitable for bars and wires 4mm to 40mm diameter.

 

Fatigue testing

Fatigue testing to BS EN ISO 15630-1, BS 4449:1997/2005 and BS 6744. Range of fatigue test machines available covering stresses up to 270 kN, and all bar sizes 5 to 40mm.

 

Rebend testing

Bend and rebend testing to BS EN ISO 15630-1, BS 4449:1997/2005, BS 6744 and ASTM A370. Available for all bar sizes 6-40mm.

 

Chemical analysis

Chemical analysis for all standard elements in reinforcing steel using Optical Emission Spectroscopy (OES), Inductive Coupled Plasma (ICP) or combustion methods as appropriate.

 

Rib geometry

Measurement of all rib dimensions according to BS EN ISO 15630-1, BS 4449:1997/2005, BS 6744 and ASTM A370, using automated computer controlled image analysis system.
