Welcome to Michael Moore

 In July, Michael Moore joined us as a Research Engineer to develop our testing expertise in the non-standard testing of couplers and prestressing steels. Michael has a degree in Civil Engineering from Bristol University, and has several years experience in Structural Engineering with WSP and Price and Myers.

 It is our intention to develop our testing expertise and capability of these non-standard test  so that we can offer R&D type testing, as well as the more routine testing. Michael will be registered with Swansea University for an Engineering Doctorate, giving us access to the knowledge and equipment of the University to complement our in-house facilities and expertise. Heis currently establishing development facilities for tensile and fatigue testing of couplers. We wish Michael well in his project, and look forward to reporting on some of his work in future issues of the newsletter.
