Prestressing Steels
R-TECH is fully equipped for many standard tests performed on pre-stressing steels (wire, strand and bar). Testing is available to a number of standards, including BS5896, BS 4486, ISO 15630-3 and EN 10002. Standard tests include: - Young’s Modulus
- Fatigue testing (up to 270 kN)
- Reverse bend testing (wire)
- Bond testing
- Indentation geometry
- Tensile testing (up to 1200kN)
R-TECH Services has UKAS accreditation for all of the above test procedures. UKAS accredited chemical analysis is available in-house through our sister company Metamet Consultants Ltd.
Whatever the testing required on pre-stressing steels and related products, R-TECH is the specialist laboratory, with expertise to advise you. If we can't perform the tests ourselves, we can probably advise you who can.
